Volunteer at Nehemiah

We are always in need of local volunteers.  Help set up and prepare food for our Bread on Bridge program. Assist with building maintenance.  Hang out with the neighborhood kids. Work in our garden or with the chickens.  Or bring your own skills and passions to Nehemiah. We'd be more than happy to have you here.

Volunteer Opportunities

Check out a few of the options we have below and fill out the form at the bottom of the page if you are interested in any volunteer opportunities. The opportunities below are not exhaustive and we want you to find a home for you and your gifts at the Nehemiah Mission. We cannot wait to see you!

Bread on Bridge

Groups and individual volunteers are needed to assist with our community meal on Tuesdays from the hours of 1:00-4:30 pm. Volunteers are not required to be present for the whole community mealtime. Work includes meal prep, serving meals, and clean-up. Our staff coordinates and plans meals every week with the assistance of churches donating meals.

Individuals who have a valid driver's license and can drive on an as-needed basis are needed for many of our international newcomer families. Drivers can use their own vehicle or the mission's minivan. Women drivers in particular are needed.
